Inspired by a fellow blogger, Cavenderia, I've decided to call upon the readership to submit suggestions for a uniform to equip another battalion of the Bad Nachtschweiners. A uniform for a unit of dragoons would not be uncalled for either. Austrian as the base is desirable in both cases. In the usual effort to combat automated email address harvesters, take all dashes out of chasing-crickets-at-gmail-dot-com as the submission address.
While I am likely not going to paint them up anytime soon, since I'm currently focused (if you can call it that) on 10mm ACW, I need a new regiment to ponder upon for possible upcoming battle.

Hmmmmm, I still haven't found time to do the Cavenderia design yet (I've been fairly busy) so yours will have to wait too I guess.

Too compuyter-illiterate to use easily David's templates.
Previous regular musketeer in blue coat ("Bad Nachtschwein Uniforms at Vergoldeten"); why not to keep it,but austrian cut and, say, orange facings? Dragoons were less glamorous than true 'Horse': mahogany coat, black facings, buff smallclothes...
A very interesting, friendly and stimulating initiative: looking forward to enjoy the submissions! Will you open a poll or rank the submissiosn yourself?
Best regards,
Jean-Louis
The combination of:
White breeches, red waistcoat, red outer long coat, black cuffs/collars/turnbacks/lapels with gold buttons and hat trim is a gorgeous one. If infantry, add black gaiters. Place a white bow on the hat with folds black-lined. Reverse red for black and black for red for drummers.
Bon Chance,
Bill
What is the normal coat color for the army. I would like to contribute.
